The Curious Circumstances of Louis Le Prince

The Factory Theatre and director Becca Holloway brought me on to help fully realize writer Chase Weaton-Werle's brand new script following the exploits of Adolph Le Prince, son of the man who is credited with inventing the first motion picture camera, as he and his mother attempt to prove that claim.

Using two projectors and a lot of historical footage, I attempted to make all of my designs fit in with style of the footage from the time. Projecting on Hayley E Wallenfeldt's incredible set - we were able to make it feel like the set was a camera/projector.

This projection design was nominated for a 2025 Jeff Award
