murder on the orient express

I collaborated with Anthony Churchill of ArtLab Media on the animation for Drury Lane Oakbrook’s 2022 production of Ken Ludwig’s Murder on the Orient Express. Jessica Fisch, the director, really wanted to showcase projections in a way that would both bring the audience into the show, help articulate the clues laid out in the mystery, and set the scenic circumstances of what was happening outside of the train. The centerpiece of the design was the title sequence. We set out to make a James Bond-esque title sequence to set the stage for what will transpire through the rest of the night.

My main focus as Lead Animator was this opening sequence and the clues that materialized through the snow when detective Poirot revealed his deductive reasoning.
